Musical Quality

You can call me old-fashioned, but a classical piano with harpsichord-style chord progression, or indeed a harpsichord itself, makes for gorgeous music.

This is the music of Luminesce, somehow I know it. It stirs the same emotional response from me as the Age does, in my imagination.

It has always amazed me the way music moves our very soul. It’s like emotion, crafted and honed into an auditory format. :-)

Which reminds me, I may need to go ask one of the those D’ni historians what they know about D’ni music.

Hey Giles,

Victor Laxman over at the DRC just reported that one of the security sensors he left behind has been tripped. As your one of the few explorers down there at the moment, I was wondering if you’d seen anything. You can check out his note here:

I have been exploring the City a bit lately. I had been feeling cooped up writing (more on that later) and decided to go exploring. Perhaps I was emboldened by the idea of forcing myself into crossing paths “accidentally” with another hideaway.

I don’t remember coming across any working DRC technology (or working technology in general), but I suppose it’s possible.

Then again… It could be Mr. Lord. Say Keith, you wouldn’t happen to be the clumsy type, now would you?

Be careful down there. It’s been over a year since we heard from the DRC. I’d take his note to send someone down seriously. Maybe someone has noticed the intrusions?
Maybe there’s more happening in the cavern than we know? Maybe even more than you know?

Alright, another heads up. It looks like Dr. Kodama and Marie Sutherland are on their way down. While I don’t think they could do anything about it, the DRC has never sanctioned independent exploration of the Cavern. Nor do most of us bother to tell them. I would recommend giving them a wide berth. Kieth and Will, that goes for you too.
