The DRC was never made much of an attempt to keep the D'ni cavern a secret, especially when it came to looking for funding. I also wouldn't be surprised if your mother made a number of friends in the archaeological community during her travels. Even your father seems to know more than he lets on. Anyhow, congratulations on another successful year of exploration in the cavern. Perhaps her total acceptance and his cold attitude are related to the fact that you are not the first member of your family to see the cavern?
